Ellon Baptist Church underwent a renovation to improve its facilities, requiring high-quality flooring solutions for its two-storey structure. East West Flooring was commissioned to provide expert concrete and screed services to meet the client’s needs for both structural integrity and comfort.

  • Reinforced Concrete Slab:

We installed a reinforced concrete slab to provide a durable and stable foundation, essential for the building’s long-term performance.

  • Cemfloor Liquid Screed to Precast Units (First Floor):

The first-floor precast units were covered with Cemfloor liquid screed, ensuring a smooth, level surface ready for further finishes.

  • Cemfloor Liquid Screed to Underfloor Heating (Ground & First Floors):

East West Flooring applied Cemfloor liquid screed over the underfloor heating (UFH) systems on both the ground and first floors. This provides optimal thermal conductivity, enhancing the efficiency of the UFH system while delivering a flawless surface finish.

Challenges and Solutions:

The key challenge was coordinating the installation of the liquid screed over the underfloor heating system, ensuring it was applied to the precise specifications necessary for both thermal efficiency and structural integrity.
